Cloned Meat

The FDA is about to OK cloned meat and milk. What benefit this is for consumers is the question. The Union of Concerned Scientists is opposed to this action. They say, “The FDA should not try to subvert the will of Congress, which has wisely called for further studies to ensure there is no risk to public health.” The FDA continues to serve two masters. Business profits should not figure in these kinds of decisions. The Precautionary Principle should be the only factor when it comes to protecting the public good.
